Ventilation shaft
In the evenings, people return home. Not much captures their gaze - only things that surprise them. They walk, heads bowed over glowing screens. Three people pass by, they don't notice each other. They are distracted from their phones by a bright beam of light that causes each to look up and see a huge structure in the distance. One will say it's a tall pipe. A second will add that it's pouring streams of light, preventing them from going in that direction. And only a third, who's just been surfing on the internet for pictures of mountains, will compare the tall structure to Mount Everest.
Work process
First I had to find a suitable shape for the construction. An underground hydroelectric power plant should not be noticeable, but if its ventilation shafts extend to the surface, I wanted to make them so that they would not draw much attention to themselves, but at the same time would be unusual when viewed in detail. They had to be made very high so that smoke and unpleasant smells would not reach people. Choosing from three options, I settled on the last one, because it is similar to the usual ventilation outlets, but this form is more complex than it seems at first glance.
Drawings
From the side, the design has an inverted shape due to the fact that from the top and bottom it is stretched in different directions. The main part of the shaft is made of concrete. At a height of 24 meters, a searchlight is used to warn people that it may be dangerous to be in this location..
